1. The OSPN was disappointed that the actions of a few, disrupted Pride for all.

2. Pride, from its beginning, was ONLY about celebrating queer expression, our freedoms, which we continue to fight for, and the battles we’ve won.

3. Many of our members were present and fought on the front lines, which we all benefit from. They were especially upset. Upset that those who weren’t even alive, have hijacked the true meaning of Pride.

4. The platform of the activists involved is widely covered across all media platforms.

5. Driving a wedge between our constituents, only serves to divide and weaken us. Our voice on queer issues is stronger, united.

6. While these issues should be raised, this was not the appropriate place and time. Not inhibiting or interfering with our celebration of Pride.
