OSPN Spring Communique

Members, friends, allies and stakeholders of OSPN,

After months of social distancing to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, we know our members and loved ones are facing continued struggles to navigate the public health measures in place to keep us safe while we wait for the vaccine. We know that the sacrifices people are making are real and that they have negative impacts on our mental health and sense of connection.

The purpose of this communique is to connect with our membership and to share some updates on OSPN and its activities and to remind you that we are still here working for our community. The dark days of winter are behind us and we hope that the news contained in this communique will help you to look forward to the near future with enthusiasm and hope for fun times and connection with new and old friends in the 2SLGBTQ+ seniors’ community. We will dance again… and bowl, and share meals and learn and connect and support one another!

The Coordinating Committee of OSPN has continued its work throughout the pandemic to build supports, programming and partnerships that will help sustain the Network as an organization and ultimately support our wonderful and diverse community members within the context of the pandemic and afterwards.

We organized this update using the four key directions that make up our strategic plan.

Stay safe!

Sincerely, The OSPN Coordinating Committee
